Load the on-board electrical system battery (G1)

If below the nominal value >= 12.6 Volt, replace the on-board electrical system battery (G1).

DANGER:
-

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of crushing and burns if you hands are inserted into the
engine when started or when running

-

Secure the vehicle to prevent it from moving off by itself.

-

Wear closed and close-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Start engine

Check the regulator voltage

NOTE:  Load the battery through forced use only (for example ignition).

Regulator voltage > 14.5 V:
1. Replace the regulator (only on the M112, 113).
2. Replace the generator (if regulator is in order) M112, M113.

Regulator voltage > 13.0 V:
1. Remove any transition impedance at electrical connections from the charging system.
2. Examine fuses (F52f1) and (F52f2) in the through-contact fuse (F52).

NOTE:  The through contact fuse (F52) is located in the right footwell under the foot rest. On vehicles with Sound Systems (Code 810), the
woofer under the foot rest must also be removed.

3. Test the generator diodes.

Disconnect the multimeter (003)
