Accelerating or Decelerating
If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of a cracking noise or if play is sensed during acceleration or deceleration, replace both bell
crank links to resolve.
1.
Remove front seat cushion (Figure 1, 2). Refer to WIS document AR91.10-P-1070G.
Note:
Remove seat cushion (Figure 1, 2) only until collar bolt (Figure 1, 3) is accessible.
2.
Unscrew collar bolt (Figure 1, 3).
3.
Unscrew nuts (Figure 1, 4) and remove bell crank (Figure 1, 1) from seat frame (Figure 1, 5).
4.
Fasten bell crank (figure 1, 1) to seat frame (Figure 1, 5) with new nuts (Figure 1, 4).
Note:
The bell cranks (Figure 1, 1) are different for the right and left side of the seat frame (Figure 1, 5). Ensure that the collar (Figure 1, arrow) on the bell
crank (Figure 1, 1) is installed toward the center of the seat. Torque nuts (Figure 1, 4) to 24 Nm.
5.
Tighten collar bolt to 24 Nm.
6.
Reinstall front seat cushion. Refer to WIS document AR91.10-P-1070G.
