Oil Pressure Regulator Valve: Service and Repair

Removing And Installing Oil Pressure Relief Valve

Remove oil pan (10)

Remove screw plug (1)

CAUTION:  Screw plug (1) is under pressure because of spring (2).

NOTE:  Screw plug (1) seals with tapered seat (arrow).

Remove spring (2), filler pin (3) and control plunger (4)

Inspect for signs of wear.

NOTE:  The control plunger (4) must be capable of slight movement in the oil-pump's hole.

Install in the reverse order.
