Coolant temperature sensor (further designations e.g. B11/3)

The NTC resistor alters its electrical resistance in line with the coolant temperature.NTC means negative temperature coefficient, in other words the
electrical resistance becomes less as the temperature rises: 

Coolant temperature resistance 
20 °C 3100 ohms ± 5% 
80 °C 315 ohms ± 5%
