Prior to performing this Service Campaign for both or either Model 170 and Model 210, carefully review and adhere to the safety instructions as
indicated in the following documents: See WIS: AS91.00-Z-0001-01A, AH91.00-P-0002-01B, AH91.00-P-0004-01A and AH91.00-P-0006-01A.
Additionally, review this Service Campaign Bulletin entirely prior to performing the recall itself.

Procedure For Model 170.447/449/465

Note: 

The following procedure applies for replacement of either left/right or both side airbags

1.

Remove ignition key from ignition lock.

2.

Remove front door interior panel(s), see WIS document: AR72.10-P-1000G

3.

Drill out rivets (1, Figure 1) of retaining plate for side airbag, see WIS Document AR91.60-P-0690G "Removing and installing side airbag in front
door".

Note: 

Drill out rivets using a 7 mm diameter drill bit. Drill out rivet head using a circular motion with the drill, until the rivet head separates. Use caution
not to drill into the sheet metal mount. Alternatively, a spherical type of cutter could be used to remove the rivet head. 
Wear eye protection when drilling out the rivets.

4.

Remove side airbag from driver's door frame and then disconnect side airbag wiring harness connector at the side airbag squib (2, Figure 1).

5.

Once removed, place side airbag into shipping container of the replacement side airbag.
