Electric connector

WARNING:  Uncontrolled firing of airbags, side airbags and emergency tensioning retractors poses an accident hazard. Testing and
installation should be accomplished or supervised only by properly trained personnel. Store airbags and side airbags with opening surface
pointing up. Do not expose to temperatures above 100 °C. Interrupt electric circuit when working on units.

NOTE:  Observe legal regulations regarding handling and storing of airbags, side airbags and emergency tensioning retractors.

Procedure

1. Disconnect battery.
2. Remove ignition key.
3. Remove door liner on front door.
4. Drill out mounting rivets [1] for side airbag.
5. Remove side airbag.
6. Disconnect electrical connector [2].
7. Reinstall in opposite order.
8. Perform system diagnosis.  See: Testing and Inspection
