The upper steering shaft (70g) must not be fully extended. There must be at least 15 to 20 mm of the upper steering shaft (70g) inside the jacket tube
(71).

If longitudinal adjustment motor is operational:
Establish electrical connection between steering column in/out motor electrical connector (M20/1x1) and battery by connecting green line of
steering column motor electrical connector (M20/1x1) to positive terminal and black line of steering column motor electrical connector (M20/1x1)
to negative terminal of battery. Reverse the poles to change the rotation direction of the motor.

Drive upper steering shaft (70g) into jacket tube (71) using a suitable aluminum pin (077).

Unscrew nut (62a) from link rod (62).

Drive out upper steering shaft (70g) using a suitable aluminum pin (076) until the link rod (62) comes out of the bracket (70h) on the jacket tube
(71).
