Installation: Moisten the retaining rubber on the cylinder head covers and the seal of hot film mass air flow sensor in the air cleaner housing
lightly with lubricant.

Remove O2 sensors

NOTE:  Remove O2 sensors (upstream of catalytic converter).

6.1 Raise engine on right

NOTE:  When removing right exhaust manifold.

6.2 Raise engine on left

NOTE:  When removing left exhaust manifold.

Remove ignition coils on left

NOTE:  To achieve better access.

Remove exhaust manifold

NOTE:  Left side of engine: Push engine to the right for this step and lift exhaust manifold up and out.

NOTE:  Right side of engine: Push exhaust manifold to the left and lift exhaust manifold up and out.

CAUTION:  Take suitable measures to protect the paintwork.

NOTE:  Installation: Replace nuts (156/1).

Refer to Exhaust Manifold below

Replace gaskets (156/5).

NOTE:  If bolts at flange connection of front exhaust system/exhaust manifold are stiff, or thread damaged:

Replace rivet nuts in exhaust manifold

Install in the reverse order
