Remove/Install Air Cleaner Housing

Remove/Install

Remove top engine compartment paneling (1)

NOTE:  Pull engine compartment panel up and off at both air cleaner boxes and at bracket.

Remove corrugated hose (4)

NOTE:  On left and right.

Detach air cleaner housing (2) toward top from left and right cylinder head cover

NOTE:  Installation: Slightly oil the retaining rubbers on the cylinder head covers with sliding compound.

Unlatch intake line (3) at throttle valve actuator (M16/6)

NOTE:  Installation: Slightly moisten the sealing ring of the throttle valve actuator (M16/6) in the intake line with sliding compound.

Lift off air cleaner housing (2) with intake line from engine

Install in the reverse order
