Shown During Removal Operation

Removing, installing

DANGER:  Hazard from contact with parts conducting high voltages.

-

Do not touch parts which conduct high voltages. Persons who wear electronic implants (e.g. heart pacemakers) must not carry Out work
on the ignition system.

DANGER:  Risk of injury from grazing or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle part

-

Always wear protective gloves when working in vicinity of sharp, burred vehicle components.

-

Deburr replacement panels.

DANGER:  Risk of injury to skin and eyes from handling hot or glowing objects

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and if necessary, eye protection.

Separate plug connection of O2 sensors

Remove exhaust system complete

3.1 Unbolt right engine mount at front axle carrier

NOTE:  When removing right exhaust manifold.

CAUTION:  Right and left engine mounts must not be slackened at the same time.

Refer to Engine Mounts, Engine Supports below

3.2 Slacken left engine mount at front axle carrier

NOTE:  When removing left exhaust manifold.

CAUTION:  Right and left engine mounts must not be slackened at the same time.

Refer to Engine Mounts, Engine Supports below

Remove air cleaner

NOTE:  Removal: Remove air cleaner by lifting vertically up and off the cylinder head covers.
