AR83.55-P-5250E Correct Oil Level In AC System When Replacing Compressor

Drain removed refrigerant compressor and measure oil quantity

NOTE:  Carry work out rapidly, as compressor oil is hygroscopic

Discharge new refrigerant compressor and measure oil quantity

Fill same quantity of compressor oil into new refrigerant compressor as was measured on removed one.

NOTE:  Fill in an additional 10 cu.cm for the new A/C compressor.

The oil drained out of the new A/C compressor can also be used.
