Task

The Vario roof is closed or opened hydraulically via the soft top mechanism hydraulic unit (A7/5)
A pump in the soft top mechanism hydraulic unit (A7/5) generates the required operating pressure with which the hydraulic cylinder is actuated The
hydraulic cylinders are controlled via the Vario roof solenoid valve (A7/5y1), which is also located in the soft top mechanism hydraulic unit (A7/5). The
power soft top control unit (N52) actuates the Vario roof solenoid valve (A7/5y1) via the Vario roof open relay (A7/5k1) or the Vario roof close relay
(A7/5k2). The temperature sensor (A7/5b1) in the soft top mechanism hydraulic unit (A7/5) triggers the overload protection feature in the event of a
thermic overload of the motor and the Vario roof can no longer be opened or closed.
