Function

The evaporator temperature sensor (B10/6) is a temperature- dependent resistor. Depending on the evaporator temperature it relays a resistance value to
the AAC control and operating unit (N22) (with code (580a) automatic air conditioning) or the comfort AAC control and operating unit (N22/7) (with
code (581b) comfort automatic air conditioning).

The refrigerant compressor (A9) is actuated depending on the evaporator temperature. This serves to prevent the evaporator from icing up.
