Auxiliary Cabin Heater: Service Precautions

Danger!

Do not operate stationary heater, auxiliary heater or engine with heater booster in closed areas or when refueling. Allow heater unit to cool down after
operation and wear protective gloves.

Potential risks

Risk of explosion

caused by heater while fueling.

Risk of poisoning

Gases that occur during the combustion process in the heater are a health hazard and, where the heater is operated in enclosed premises, e.g. workshops
or garages, may induce symptoms of toxication, which could lead to unconsciousness.

Danger of burns

Heater housing and exhaust gas outlet can cause severe burns during or following operation.

Safety instructions/precautions

Never operate engine with heater booster in closed rooms.

The stationary or auxiliary heater must not be started up nor operated at filling stations or in the vicinity of refueling systems because of the danger
of an explosion being caused by fuel vapor.

When performing function test or checking emission levels, operate heater only in rooms with suitable exhaust gas extraction system for engine
and heater.

When working on heater, allow it to cool down or wear protective gloves.
