WARNING:

This modification is authorized only for the listed engines. Performing this modification on other engine calibrations is unauthorized and
could create liability under applicable federal or local laws.

The driveability conditions listed may be due to a lean air/fuel condition caused by the EEC IV processor incorrectly measuring barometric pressure
from the MAP sensor when the ignition switch is first turned on. The processor then controls the carburetor lean through the feedback control solenoid.

These conditions can be corrected by replacing the EEC IV processor. Refer to the chart below for proper processor application:

Obtain an Authorized Modifications Decal and list the date, dealer number, and summary of alterations per formed. Select a prominent place adjacent to
the Vehicle Emission Control Information Decal suitable for installing the Authorized Modifications Decal. Clean the area, install the decal, and cover it
with a clear plastic decal shield.
