From inside the vehicle, pull the three cut wires that power the courtesy lamp switch out from the cowl side cavity and install the new jumper wire
(service pigtail), E3ZZ-13B767-A, onto the cut wires. Strip off 3/8" of insulation from the end of each of the three cut wires and install the jumper
wire harness onto the existing wires, matching up the wire color
codes, and crimp the butt splice connectors using tool D81L-17018-A (Figure 6).

Insert the installed jumper wire (service pigtail) back into the cowl side cavity and feed the connector (with boot) through the hole in the hinge
pillar.
