ISSUE:
This TSB article is designed to assist the technician in diagnosing and repairing water leaks that may appear at the top corners of the convertible top.
ACTION:
Refer to the following Service Procedures for repairing leaks at the convertible top corners.
SERVICE PROCEDURE # 1
FRONT CONVERTIBLE TOP WEATHERSTRIP
1.
Unlatch the convertible top.
2.
Remove the first, foremost, convertible top side rail weatherstrip on both sides.
3.
Apply three (3) strips of 1/8" rolled butyl sealer crosswise on the channel in the weatherstrip carrier. Apply one (1) strip at each end of the
weatherstrip, and one (1) across the center. Refer to Figure 1. Reinstall the two (2) weatherstrips onto the convertible top frame.
