THIS PROCEDURE IS ALSO RECOMMENDED WHEN REPLACING A DAMAGED CRANKSHAFT IN ORDER TO
PREVENT/ELIMINATE TIMING BELT NOISE.

The following service tips should be noted:

The crankshaft timing pulley bolt torque specification has been revised to 157-167 N-m (115-123 lbs.ft.).

Adjust all drive belts to specification. Refer to the 1991 Capri Service Manual, Section 27-02, for specifications.

Use Crankshaft Pulley Holder (T92C-6316-AH) to remove and install the timing belt pulley lock bolt.

NOTE:

ALL PARTS MUST BE REPLACED AS A SET.
