Remove the four nut and washer assemblies securing the air bag to the steering wheel. Refer to Figure 2.

Disconnect the air bag connector from the clockspring and remove air bag.
CAUTION:
Follow air bag handling procedures.
5.
Identify removed air bag module by putting an "X" mark in red paint on the underside.
6.
Obtain a new air bag module and record the air bag serial number against the vehicle VIN number on the record sheet enclosed with the new air
bag.
7.
Place the removed air bag and the record sheet in the container in which the new air bag was packaged and ship, freight prepaid, to:
