To service, apply die cut adhesive backed seal to the outboard side of the inside remote door handle assembly (Figure 1).
Use the following procedure:

1.

Remove the trim panel and water shield (refer to Shop Manual, Section 45-03).

2.

Remove the door remote handle (refer to Shop Manual, Escort/Lynx, Section 44-06; Ranger Section 44-11-2).

3.

Install the die cut seal to the outboard side of the door handle (Figure 1, View "B" and "C").

4.

Install the remote handle to door.

5.

Install the water shield and trim panel.
