Water Pump: Service and Repair

1.
Drain cooling system.
2.
Remove air inlet tube.
3.
On models equipped with a fan shroud, remove shroud attaching bolts and position shroud over fan.
4.
On all models remove fan, spacer and fan shroud.
5.
Remove A/C compressor drive belt and idler pulley bracket, if equipped.
6.
Remove alternator drive belt, then remove power steering drive belt and pump, if equipped.
7.
Remove all accessory brackets attached to water pump, then remove water pump pulley.
8.
Disconnect lower radiator hose, heater hose and bypass hose from water pump.
9.
Remove water pump to front cover attaching bolts, then remove water pump.
10.
Reverse procedure to install.
