Vehicles which exhibit hesitation, detonation, or rough idle (black smoke/loading) can be serviced by correcting a kinked vacuum hose to the MAP
sensor.

1.

Locate Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor (MAP), mounted on the front of the left hand shock tower (driver side).

2.

Disconnect the manifold vacuum supply hose (90~ pre-formed) routed from the MAP sensor to the 90~ elbow, approximately 5.0" from MAP
sensor. Remove the 90~ elbow and the pre-formed hose and discard.
