The premium sound amplifier can be damaged when submerged in water in the left quarter panel area location. This can happen if the quarter panel drain
hole is plugged by either body sealer, paper, or felt material. This condition can be confirmed by a rust line or water marks on the amplifier.

A damaged premium sound amplifier will have to be replaced. Additionally, the drain hole must be cleaned out and all foreign material in the quarter
panel removed to ensure proper drainage. To prevent future concerns, it is recommended that the plug shown in Figure 7 be removed and discarded.
