Cabin Temperature Sensor / Switch: Testing and Inspection

ATC TEMPERATURE SENSOR AND HARNESS ASSEMBLY

The single output of the sensor is the modulated vacuum signal to the servo. The two failures associated with sensors are improper calibration and
leakage. Prior to changing a suspect sensor, inspect for the following:

^ Cable adjustment.
^ Vacuum supply adequate, check valve OK.
^ Aspirator hose not blocked and is connected at both ends.
^ Instrument panel seals installed correctly.

Observe the sensor vacuum output. This will check calibration setting. Refer to All Function Selector Valve positions Leak Diagnosis. See: Testing and
Inspection/Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures/Electronic Climate Control/All Function Selector Valve Positions Leak
