3. Extract 40 mm of parking brake cable.

Press down the pawl.

Simultaneously pull the parking brake control to extract 40 mm of parking brake cable.

4. Release the tension on the parking brake cable.

Press down the pawl.

Simultaneously release the tension on the cable.

The cable self-adjust mechanism will hold the cable until load is applied to the cable.

5. Insert the parking brake cable equalizer through the opening in the floor.
