Heater Core: Service and Repair
Heater Core and Evaporator Core Housing

With Air Conditioning

SPECIAL TOOL(S)

REMOVAL

1. Perform the Refrigerant Discharging and Recovery Procedure.
2. Drain the cooling system.
3. Remove the instrument panel. For additional information, refer to: Dashboard/Instrument Panel. See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding /

Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and Repair

4. Raise and support the vehicle.

5. Disconnect the heater hoses from the heater core.

Disconnect the vacuum line from the engine.

NOTE:  Blow out the heater core.

6. Lower the vehicle.

7. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

1. Disconnect the blower motor electrical connector.
2. Disconnect the blower motor resistor electrical connector.
