Cougar V6-153 2.5L DOHC VIN L SFI (2001)
11. Disconnect the electrical connector from the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) and unclip the cable.
12. Remove the front exhaust pipe.
1. Unclip the HO2S wiring.
2. Remove the retaining nuts.
13. Remove the two front right-hand splash shield parts (wheel shown removed for clarity).
14. Remove the accessory drive belt.

Slacken the belt by turning the belt tensioner in a clockwise direction.
