Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Perform the Refrigerant Discharging and Recovery Procedure.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.

3. Remove the radiator splash shield.

4. Disconnect the upper and lower tubes from the air conditioning condenser.

NOTE:  Seal the tubes and the tube connections with plugs.

5. Detach the air conditioning condenser from the radiator crossmember.

6. Remove the air conditioning condenser.

Disengage the air conditioning condenser from its mountings at the top by lifting up the condenser, push it towards the grille and remove it.

CAUTION:  Do not damage the radiator fins.
