Spindle: Service and Repair
Removal
1. Remove the hub.
Vehicles with anti-lock brakes
2. Detach the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) sensor and wiring retaining clip.
Vehicles with rear drum brakes
3. Disconnect the brake tube.
1. Clamp the brake tube.
2. Disconnect the brake tube union.
4. Disconnect the brake tube.
5. Detach the backing plate.

Secure the backing plate to one side to prevent damage to the parking brake cable.
