7. Remove the tie-rod end nut.
8. CAUTION: Protect the ball joint seal to prevent damage.
Using the special tool, detach the tie-rod end from the wheel knuckle.
Vehicles with anti-lock brakes
9. Disconnect the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) sensor and cable.
All Vehicles
10. Disconnect the brake pad wear sensor electrical connector (if equipped).
