Suspension Strut / Shock Absorber: Service and Repair
Disassembly and Assembly

Front Suspension

Disassembly 

1. Remove the strut and spring assembly. 

2. WARNING:  As the spring is under extreme tension care must be taken at all times. Failure to follow these instructions may result in

personal injury. 

Compress the spring using a suitable Coil spring compressor.

3. Disassemble the strut and spring assembly.

1. Remove the thrust bearing nut.
2. Remove the top mount.
3. Remove the thrust bearing.

4. Remove the spring seat.
5. Remove the spring.
6. Remove the boot.
7. Remove the bump stop.
