3. Remove the stop ring.
4. Pull out the boot.

Assembly 

NOTE:  Halfshaft joint at the wheel end only.

1. NOTE:  Install a new boot clamp.

Install the boot at the transaxle end.
1. Install the large boot clamp.
2. Position the boot.

2. Using the special tool, tighten the boot clamp.

Position the small clamp at the transaxle end in the annular groove of the boot.

3. CAUTION:  Do not damage the bearing seat of the tripod.

Install the tripod assembly.

Drive the tripod assembly onto the front halfshaft as far as it will go, using a suitable tube.
