Cougar V6-153 2.5L DOHC VIN L SFI (2001)
1. NOTE: Use an Allen key to stop the piston rod from turning.
Loosen the right-hand suspension strut locknut five turns.
2. Loosen the halfshaft stub nut and the right-hand front wheel nuts.
3. Raise and support the vehicle.
4. Remove the right-hand front wheel and remove the halfshaft stub nut.
5. Remove the fender splash shields.
6. CAUTION: Do not damage boot and ABS sensor ring.
Disconnect the lower right-hand suspension arm ball joint from the wheel knuckle.
