Idle Speed: Adjustments
Fast Idle Speed

4-140 w/YPA & YFA Feedback Carburetor

1.

Place transmission into Neutral or Park.

2.

Install a suitable tachometer onto engine as per manufacturer's instructions.

3.

Start and allow engine to reach normal operating temperature, then turn ignition switch to OFF position.

Place A/C selector switch to OFF position.

5.

Disconnect and plug EGR valve vacuum lines.

6.

Disconnect electrical connector from PVS, if equipped.

7.

Place fast idle adjusting screw onto specified step of cam.

8.

Check fast idle speed.  If fast idle speed obtained is not as specified, turn fast idle speed screw until correct speed is obtained.
