Front Door Window Regulator: Service and Repair
Removal
Window Regulator
1. Remove front door trim panel and front door trim shield. See:
WARNING: IF THE FRONT DOOR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR COUNTERBALANCE SPRING MUST BE REMOVED OR
REPLACED FOR ANY REASON, MAKE SURE THAT THE FRONT DOOR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR ARMS ARE IN A
FIXED POSITION PRIOR TO REMOVAL TO PREVENT POSSIBLE INJURY DURING C-SPRING UNWIND.
2. Lower front door window glass to access holes in door inner panel. Remove two nut and washer assemblies retaining front door window glass to
front door window channel bracket.
3. Prop the front door window glass in the full-up position.
4. Disconnect body main wiring.
5. Remove two nut and washer assemblies retaining window regulator equalizer arm bracket .
6. Remove the three rivets and one nut and washer assembly attaching front door window regulator to door inner panel as follows:
