Radiator Hose: Testing and Inspection

Radiator hoses should be checked as directed in the applicable Maintenance Schedule. Replace them whenever they become cracked, rotted or
have a tendency to collapse. Collapsed hoses can also indicate bad pressure relief cap.

1. Inspect cooling system hoses and clamped hose connections for leaks and/or excessive deterioration. Service or replace as required.
2. Inspect radiator core and tanks for leaks. Service or replace as required.
3. Inspect cooling system hose routing to ensure sufficient clearance to engine compartment components. Reposition hoses if required.
4. Check radiator supports (16138) and brackets for firm radiator retention. Correct as required. The radiator (8005) is installed with rubber isolation

mounts.
