Cougar/XR7 V8-4.6L VIN W (1997)
INSTALLATION
1. Make sure safety belt webbing is not twisted. If it is, remove the twist.
2. Position front safety belt retractor and tongue in vehicle and install safety belt retractor bolt. Tighten safety belt retractor bolt to 30-41 Nm (23-30
lb ft).
3. Insert safety belt anchor and bezel through slot in panel.
4. Install panel.
5. Snap front shoulder belt bezel into panel.
6. Install safety belt rubber washer and anchor-to-sill bolt. Tighten bolt to 30-41 Nm (23-30 lb ft).
7. Install front safety belt guide anchor bolt with Seat Belt Bolt Bit T77L-2100-A (No. 50 TORX). Tighten bolt to 30-41 Nm (23-30 lb ft).
8. Install front seat shoulder strap guide cover.
9. Check the restraint system for proper operation and perform Functional Test Procedure.
Rear
REMOVAL
1. Remove rear seat cushion.
