SUBSEQUENT PRECAUTIONS COULD CAUSE TIRE FAILURE, LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL AND POSSIBLE INJURY TO
YOURSELF OR OTHERS.
NOTE:

Extended use of other than matching size tires on a Traction-Lok(R) rear axle could result in a permanent reduction in effectiveness. This loss of
effectiveness is not noticeable to the driver under normal driving conditions.

The temporary spare tire is smaller than conventional tires and designed for emergency use only. The space tire is labeled with TEMPORARY
USE ONLY. Replace temporary spare on the vehicle as soon as possible with a conventional road tire.
When using a temporary spare tire, observe the following precautions:

Check pressure in spare tire monthly. If spare tire is in use, check pressure only after the vehicle has been stopped for more than three hours. Do
not reduce pressure when tire is hot. Maintain inflation pressure at 415 kPa (60 psi).

Always remove the temporary spare tire from service as soon as possible.

Never exceed the maximum vehicle load rating listing on the tire decal or tire sidewall.

Never drive faster than 80 km/h (50 mph) under any circumstances.

Never drive on smooth temporary spare tire. The complete temporary spare tire and wheel should be replaced as an assembly when the tread depth
reaches 1.52 mm (0.06 inch) as shown by tread wear indicators in tread grooves.

Never use tire chains with a temporary spare tire.

Never attempt to repair a temporary spare tire or remove it from the wheel.

Never use the wheel for any other type of tire.

Never use a temporary spare for tire rotation.

Never drive through an automatic car wash with a temporary spare tire. The temporary spare tire reduces ground clearance, allowing the vehicle to
get caught in the car wash rails.

Avoid driving over road hazards and through potholes. Since ground clearance is reduced, obstacles may come in contact with the underside of the
vehicle.
