Trailer Connector: Description and Operation
Power for the Trailer Adapter circuit is provided through the TRL LMP Fuse, two TRL TOE Fuses, and Fuse 17.
The Trailer Tail Lamps are powered through the TRL LMP Fuse when the Trailer Exterior Lamps Relay is energized. The relay is energized when the
Main Light Switch is in PARK or HEAD.
The Trailer Turn/Stop Lamps are powered through TRL LMP Fuse when the Trailer Turn Relays are energized. Each energizes when the Left or Right
Turn Switch is operated or when the brake pedal is depressed.
The Trailer Battery is charged through the TRL TOW Fuse when the Trailer Battery Charging Relay is energized. With the Ignition Switch in RUN, the
relay is energized through Fuse 17.
The Electric Brake controller is powered through the TRL TOW Fuse and the 212 (DB) wire. The Controller receives a brake input from the Stop Lamp
Switch through the 511 (LG) wire when the brake pedal is depressed.
