Front Door Window Regulator: Service and Repair
With Window Down and Inoperable
Removal
1. Remove door trim panel and watershield. See:
2. Disconnect battery ground cable. Unhook motor wires.
3. Remove motor retaining screws through holes.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to strike or scratch glass.
4. Remove motor assembly from drum housing.
5. Raise glass to full-up position by hand and secure with a clamp.
6. Remove regulator.
Installation
1. Install regulator.
2. Assemble motor drive assembly to drum housing. Align mounting holes in motor with holes in drum housing.
3. Align motor drive assembly to mounting bracket.
4. Install three retaining screws to mounting bracket. Tighten to 5.6-6.8 N-m (50-60 lb-in).
5. Connect motor wire to harness.
6. Remove clamp and check window operation.
7. Install watershield and door trim panel. See:
