ISSUE:
A "popping" or "ticking" noise heard from the front of the vehicle may be caused by the front fender sheet metal rubbing on the wheel well flange at the
12:00 o'clock position.
ACTION:
Verify that the "popping" or "ticking" noise is in the wheel well area. Make necessary correction to the area where the sheet metal rubs. Refer to the
following service procedure for details.
PROCEDURE
1.
Verify source of noise by pushing/pulling on the wheel well flange at the 12:00 o'clock position. Refer to Figure 1.
a.
Push down on the fender above the headlamp or push down on the corner of the bumper fascia.
b.
If noise is not heard, proceed to Step 2.
