Remove circuit 296 (20 gauge, white/purple) wire from pin 10 on the connector, Figure 2. Tape over terminal and tape back wire lead to main
harness to prevent rattles.

CAUTION: TERMINAL MUST BE COMPLETELY COVERED WITH ELECTRICAL TAPE TO PREVENT A POSSIBLE ELECTRICAL SHORT

CONDITION.

5.

Insert terminal (supplied terminal jumper assembly) into cavity 10 on the connector.

6.

Route the jumper wire to the cigar lighter battery feed wire. Tape the jumper to the main harness where possible.

Crimp the cigar lighter battery feed wire to the wire lead using a tap connector (Scotchlock or other brand for use with 14-18 gauge wire, Figure
3).

8.

Reconnect blower motor switch connector to ATC control assembly.

9.

Connect battery and check for proper operation of the ATC control assembly and cigar lighter.

10.

Install ATC control assembly as shown on page 12-03-5 of the 1992 Crown Victoria/Grand Marquis Shop Manual.
