Cruise Control Servo Cable: Service and Repair
1.
Remove screw attaching resonator to throttle cable bracket.
2.
Remove two hoses from resonator and loosen clamp at throttle body, then pull resonator from throttle body and position out of the way.
3.
Remove screw attaching actuator cable to throttle cable bracket.
4.
Disconnect actuator cable from throttle cable, then remove two servo to mounting bracket retaining nuts.
5.
Remove servo and cable assembly from bracket.
6.
Remove two cable housing to servo retaining nuts, then pull housing from servo.
7.
Remove cable ball end from servo clip.
8.
Remove cable from retaining clips, then pull out from under fuel lines.
9.
Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Torque cable housing retaining nuts to 36-53 in lbs.
b. Torque servo to mounting bracket nuts to 45-61 in lbs.
c. Adjust actuator cable as necessary.
d. Ensure cable is routed underneath fuel lines and placed back into retaining clips.
