ISSUE:
An "oil can clicking" noise may be heard when pressing the service brake pedal. The noise is most prevalent when the vehicle is stopped in PARK and
the brake pedal is pressed. It is caused by brake fluid hydraulic pressure activation of the electronic speed control switch.

ACTION:
Replace the speed control switch, which is attached to the adapter assembly brake control switch and is mounted on the brake proportioning valve, with a
new speed control deactivating switch assembly (F2AZ-9F924-A). Refer to the 1992 Crown Victoria/Grand Marquis Service Manual, Section 10-03A,
for service details. Bleed the brake system. Refer to the 1992 Crown Victoria/Grand Marquis Service Manual, Pages 06-06-4 and 06-06-5, for brake
bleeding procedure.
