Key Cylinder Lamp: Description and Operation
The Illuminated Entry System turns on the Courtesy Lamps and lock cylinder lamps when either outside door handle is raised.
Voltage is present on circuit 54 (LG/Y) at the Illuminated Entry Module at all times.
Lifting either front door handle grounds circuit 465 (W/LB) to the Illuminated Entry Module. The Module then applies voltage to circuits 464 (BK/PK)
and 53 (BK/LB) to illuminate the Courtesy Lamps and the lock cylinder lamps. The Module turns the lamps off in about 25 seconds.
With the Ignition Switch in ACC or RUN, voltage is applied to the Module on circuit 296 (W/P) and the lamps turn off.
