This TSB is being republished in its entirety to correct the dimension of the bleed hole in the overdrive servo case bore.
ISSUE:
A "no 1-2 upshift" or "shifts 1-3" concern, a loss of second gear or a vibration or shudder in second gear may be caused by early wear-out of the
intermediate one way clutch. Repeat repairs may occur in Police, Fleet and Taxi applications if contamination from the damaged intermediate one way
clutch is not removed from the system prior to reassembly.
ACTION:
If service requiring removal of the transmission is required on an AODE-equipped Police Fleet or Taxi vehicle, include the service actions contained in
this TSB article to ensure customer satisfaction and avoid repeat repairs. Refer to the following procedure for service details.
Inspect or replace the following components as required:

Replace the forward clutch/stator support seal rings with new design seal rings (F4AZ-7D019-A), Figure 1.

Inspect the stator support for wear in the ring grooves and in the rear bushing, Figure 1.
