Grand Marquis V8-281 4.6L SOHC (1992)
The large tipped pilot bolts should be used to assemble the main control since it aligns the separating plate and valve body gasket. After the main control
is assembled, remove and replace the pilot bolts with the new bolts. The reinforcing plate and separating plate bolts will keep the components in
alignment. Refer to Figure 1.
When replacing the main control with the a new level part (refer to Main Control Application Chart) and reusing the original case, Sleeves
(F6AZ-7K720-A) must be installed into the main control pilot holes and an Electronic Pressure Control (EPC) solenoid Retainer (F6AZ-7H111-A) must
also be used. An instruction sheet is included with the new main control.
