Attach the pre-formed ends of the hose to the metal tubes behind the radiator with worm drive screw clamps, 376240-S100 - torque to 25-35
in.lbs. (2.8-4.0 N-m). Attach the straight ends of the hose to the auxiliary cooler matching the connections with the installation views attached
using screw drive clamps as for pre-formed ends. Refer to Figures 7 through 9 for installation views by vehicle application.
General Transmission Instructions (typically done during any transmission overhaul)
1.
Overhaul the transmission making sure to inspect all hardware for heat degeneration. Replace parts as necessary. Follow the inspection procedure
in Section 17-01 of the Shop Manual.
2.
Before reassembly, thoroughly clean all transmission components including the check balls in the forward clutch cylinder, the reverse clutch
piston, and the direct clutch piston. Follow the cleaning procedure in Section 17-01 of the Shop Manual.
3.
The cooler lines, the intank cooler and the auxiliary cooler should be thoroughly FLUSHED out before reinstalling the transmission.
