The State of California is in the process of developing a program that will soon require the completion of emissions recall repairs prior to vehicle
registration renewal. Depending on the actual implementation date of this program, your car may be subject to these requirements.

We regret any problem this recall may cause you. We are doing this so you will be satisfied with your Ford-built car. In order to ensure your full
protection under the emission warranty provisions, it is recommended that you have your car serviced as soon as possible. Failure to do so could be
determined as lack of proper maintenance.

Owner Letter

May 1991

Ford Motor Company is voluntarily recalling (Emissions Recall 90E94) certain 1984 and 1985-Model 5.0L engine equipped passenger cars. Your car's
engine may be releasing air pollutants which exceed U.S. Federal standards.

What the Dealer

At no cost to you, your Ford or Lincoln- 

Will Do

Mercury dealer will replace the exhaust
system catalyst on your car according to 
the instructions provided by Ford. This 
service should have little or no effect on 
your car except to reduce air pollutants.

Call Your Dealer

Call your dealer without delay and ask
for a service date. If your dealer does 
not have the parts in stock, they can be 
ordered before scheduling your appointment.

When you bring your car in, give the 
dealer tbe enclosed form. If you misplace 
the form, your dealer will still do the 
work, free of charge.
