Grand Marquis V8-4.6L VIN V Flex Fuel (2006)
Removal and Installation
1. WARNING: If equipped with fire suppression system, depower the system. For important safety warnings and procedures, refer to Fire
Suppression System.
With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.
2. Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System.
3. Remove and discard the oil filter.

To install, lubricate the new oil filter 0-ring seal with clean engine oil.
4. Remove the oil cooler hose bolt and remove the oil cooler hoses from the oil filter adapter.

To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
5. CAUTION: If metal or aluminum material is present in the oil cooler or oil cooler hoses, mechanical concerns exist.
Loosen the 2 coolant hose clamps and disconnect the 2 coolant hoses and remove the oil cooler and hoses as an assembly.

Inspect the oil cooler.

To install, reverse the removal procedure. If equipped with fire suppression system, repower the system.
